I picked up this truck recently as I was looking for a ready to run rig that was capable of going through rugged terrain. Out of the box I can say that I was very pleased with it. Like it says it is ready to run and comes complete with radio, battery and charger. I really like the high stance of the rig with a 2.2" ground clearance at it's lowest points. Though not a racer at only 12 mph, the 540 motor gives it a lot of guts for wheelies. At it's stock form it can tackle most any terrain with its' 4 wheel drive, 5.4" mud thrasher tires, and 6" oil damped coil over suspension. I will be adding a video of my wheely king in the future as time permits. In the meantime I decided to look for a different body to customize my king. I found a 1/10 scale Sector 7 H2 body that I think worked really nice on the stock chassis. The only modification I had to do to accept the body was to increase the body mounts. For the time being I used 1/4" threaded rod cut down to size and nuts to hold the body in place. I had to choose between doing the Hummer in desert sand or olive drab, after sleeping on it over night I decided to go with the olive drab. I almost picked up an pro line H1 body for this but really wanted lots of detail on my truck. In the end Im very happy with the outcome. Funny thing after doing this I see now that HPI is coming out with a H2 wheely king body as well! I should also point out that the stock wheely king 2 wheel drive came with the same body as the 4x4 only painted in a nice orange and black scheme. Oh almost forgot, the Sector 7 body came equipped with head and tail lights so I hooked those up too.

Out of the box this truck is a fun drive. Perhaps the only thing I wish companies would do is to waterproof the electronics. Then it would really rock. Though time is always at a premium I plan to tackle the waterproofing at some point in time. Till then I'll just try to keep her out of the water. Thanks for looking.
